PISCATAWAY, N.J. – Duke field hockey head coach Pam Bustin captured her 300th career win as the 18th-ranked Blue Devils upended No. 8 Rutgers, 2-1, in a shootout victory Friday afternoon at Bauer Track and Field Stadium.
The Blue Devils and Scarlet Knights battled to a 1-1 draw after 80 minutes of play, setting up the penalty shootout to decide the winner. Duke scored on its final three shots, while goaltender Piper Hampsch made three stops to give the Blue Devils the 3-2 edge.

- Rookie Brynn Crouse gave the Blue Devils the 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute, knocking in a rebound off a blocked shot from Josephine Palde on the penalty corner.
