DAVIDSON, N.C. – The No. 15/11 Duke women's lacrosse team opened the 2021 campaign with a 16-11 victory over Davidson Friday evening in Davidson, N.C., at Richardson Stadium.
With the victory, the Blue Devils are 1-0 this season and continue to hold a flawless series record (15-0) against the Wildcats.
Duke was led by Catherine Cordrey and Gabby Rosenzweig with four points each as Cordrey tied her career best with four goals. Seven Blue Devils ended the first game of the year with a goal in addition to Cordrey and Rosenzweig: Olivia Carner (3), Caroline DeBellis (2), Maddie Jenner (2), Abby Landry (2) and Katie Cronin (1).
