GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 14 Duke softball program (8-2, 0-0 ACC) concluded the T-Mobile Tournament in strong fashion, defeating Florida A&M (1-7, 0-0 SWAC) 7-1 on Sunday afternoon at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
Duke jumped out on the Rattlers from the first at bat of the game, as Ana Gold took a 2-2 pitch into left center field for her third home run of the season to make it 1-0. That started a string of three consecutive innings with a long ball for the Blue Devils, who got another blast from Claire Davidson in the second for two additional runs to make it 3-0.
