DURHAM – No. 13 Duke softball (11-3, 0-0 ACC) earned a split on day two of the Duke Invitational, defeating Army 13-1 in five innings, before falling to No. 19 Michigan in a tight 3-2 decision in the night cap.

After throwing a no-hitter against the Black Knights (1-7, 0-0 Patriot League) on Thursday, the Blue Devils let the bats do the talking, scoring in every inning of the game. Caroline Jacobsen started the day off with an RBI single that brought home another run on an error before Kristina Foreman drove her home on a two-run blast to make it 4-0.
