DURHAM – No. 12 Duke begins the 2024 season 7-0 marking the best start in program history since 2008, when the Blue Devils began 10-0. The Blue Devils completed the weekend sweep of Northwestern (1-5) on Sunday at Jack Coombs Field, downing the Wildcats 20-9.
Freshman Kyle Johnson earned his second win of the season, working three innings of one-hit baseball and struck out a career high five batters. Fellow freshman James Raidt worked an inning in relief in his collegiate debut, a clean outing for the righty.
