DURHAM – No. 12 Duke hits the road for the second time this season, traveling to Winston-Salem, N.C., to open ACC play with No. 1 Wake Forest for the second consecutive season. The last time Duke faced the No. 1 team in the country was in 2016, when the Blue Devils hosted Miami at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
Head coach won his 350th career game at Duke on Tuesday, defeating Appalachian State 28-2 at Jack Coombs Field. The 26-run victory was the largest margin of victory over Appalachian State and the 28 runs were tied for the second most in program history and the most since 1939.
