LYNCHBURG, Va. – No. 12 Duke softball (34-6, 14-2 ACC) dropped a midweek decision at Liberty, 8-3, on Wednesday night at Liberty Softball Stadium.
Kristina Foreman led the way for the Duke offense, hitting a home run and driving in all three runs to stay red hot after collecting seven RBI at James Madison on Wednesday. Peyton St. George went five innings in the circle, allowing five earned runs and striking out two in the loss.
The Flames (32-13, 15-0 ASUN) were the first to strike in the opening frame, as they loaded the bases on the first three batters of the game.
