CLEMSON, S.C. – The 11th-ranked Duke softball team opened its four-game series at No. 20 Clemson on Friday with a doubleheader sweep following a 2-0 shutout victory in game one and a 3-1 win in the nightcap at McWhorter Stadium.
The Blue Devils (26-1, 14-1 ACC) were led by strong pitching performances from senior Peyton St. George and junior Shelby Walters who tallied their 11th and 10th wins of the season, respectively. With the pair of victories, Duke extends its winning streak to 20 consecutive games while Clemson falls to 20-4 and 12-4.
