BUIES CREEK, N.C. – No. 11 Duke softball (37-7, 16-3 ACC) ended the non-conference schedule on a high note, scoring 12 runs on 13 hits to defeat Campbell, 12-2, on Tuesday night at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium.
Jala Wright (10-2) earned the win in the circle, allowing just three hits and two runs, while striking out six Camels (31-16, 18-6 Big South). Nine different Blue Devils reached base in the win, with Ana Gold and Kristina Foreman each driving in three runs.
The first inning started off quickly, as Jameson Kavel walked and stole second base before getting to third on a fly out.
