DURHAM – No. 7 North Carolina (40-12, 21-8 ACC) scored two runs in the top of the ninth inning on Friday to down No. 11 Duke (35-17, 16-13 ACC), 6-4, and level the series at Jack Coombs Field.
The Tar Heels opened the scoring in the top of the second inning, before Zac Morris gave Duke the lead in the bottom of the third inning. Morris crushed a three-run home run to left field, moving the score line to 3-1 in favor of the Blue Devils.
In the top of the fifth inning, Carolina jumped back on top, 4-3, before Logan Bravo hit a solo home run to left field to tie the game.
