CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Behind 13 saves by the Virginia goaltender, the 10th-ranked Duke women's lacrosse team fell to the ninth-ranked Cavaliers, 14-11, Sunday afternoon to close out the weekend at Klöckner Stadium in Charlottesville, Va. The Blue Devils split the weekend after beating the Cavaliers Friday, 17-8.
With the setback, the Blue Devils drop to 6-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play.
The Cavalier defense came up big as goalie Charlie Campbell registered a season-high 13 saves on 24 of Duke's shots on goal.
Duke was led by Olivia Carner with three goals, followed by Gabby Rosenzweig and Katie DeSimone with two.
