DURHAM, N.C. – Tied 3-3 heading to the ninth, Georgia Tech's Ryan Peurifoy lifted a two-run home run to help the Yellow Jackets avoid a sweep with a 5-3 decision over Duke Sunday afternoon at Jack Coombs Field.
Yellow Jacket sophomore right-hander Jake Lee (4-2) recorded his first career complete game in the winning effort. Lee took a no hitter into the sixth before Duke (26-25, 11-16 ACC) collected five hits over the final four frames. He allowed three runs (two earned), struck out four and walked one.
Duke's Adam Laskey collected his third quality start of the season in the no decision.
