DURHAM, N.C. – A successful year on the track and in the classroom was recognized on Friday for the Duke women’s track & field program as the Blue Devils placed nine student-athletes on the 2019 All-ACC Academic Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Team.
A native of Geneva, Ohio, Aveni capped her junior season by earning the second All-America honors of her career. Running the 400m leg of the women’s 4x400 relay, Aveni helped the Blue Devils secure second team All-America laurels at the NCAA Championships. Aveni was also a member of the 4x400 relay team that recorded a 3:32.
