DURHAM, N.C. – As WNBA training camps kick off, a total of nine Duke women’s basketball alumnae will hit the hardwood this week looking to earn coveted spots on WNBA teams.
Looking to make a WNBA team from Duke include Elizabeth Williams (Atlanta Dream), Jasmine Thomas (Connecticut Sun), Lexie Brown (Connecticut Sun), Karima Christmas-Kelly (Dallas Wings), Alana Beard (Los Angeles Sparks), Chelsea Gray (Los Angeles Sparks), Mistie Bass (Los Angeles Sparks), Monique Currie (Washington Mystics) and Krystal Thomas (Washington Mystics).
The WNBA will tip off its 22nd season Friday, May 18, but first preseason action will kick off May 6-13.
