GREENSBORO, N.C. – With the 2016 collegiate fencing season in the books, a combined nine Duke student-athletes garnered spots on the All-ACC Academic Men’s and Women’s Fencing Teams, as announced by the conference office Tuesday. Duke trailed only Notre Dame’s 10 selections for the most out of the four ACC fencing schools.
With 12 student-athletes making up both the men’s and women’s teams, the Blue Devils headlined the women’s academic squad with six selections: senior Isabella Barna, juniors Julia Lee and Rita Somogyi, sophomores Haley Fisher and Jennifer Ling and freshman Kristen Coury.
