INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. --- The 2016 Women’s College Cup is returning to Cary, North Carolina, Dec. 2-4, 2016. Originally slated to take place in Orlando, Florida, the NCAA Women’s Soccer Committee decided to move this year’s women’s soccer championship due to the recently announced venue completion date of 2017 of the Orlando City Soccer Club Stadium.
The 35th annual College Cup will take place at WakeMed Soccer Park, hosted by the Town of Cary, Campbell University, Greater Raleigh Sports Alliance, and Capital Area Soccer League. Initially scheduled to host the 2016 and 2017 championship, the University of Central Florida and Central Florida Sports Commission are committed and eager to host the 2017 event in the Orlando Lions and Orlando Pride’s beautiful and state-of-the-art new venue.
