Nate James has been putting his new staff together at Austin Peay and it’s been interesting to see how much he’s drawn on his Durham connections - but not from Duke.
James had previously hired Michael Cotton and Jason Harris as assistants. Presumably he met both when they were at North Carolina Central in recent years.
Now he’s gone back to the well for a third staffer as Carl Little is now the Director of Basketball Operations for Austin Peay.
Little has an interesting and bit unconventional history.
He was in the military, both Air Force and Army, and coached some there, doing quite well apparently.
