DURHAM, N.C. – Duke shortstop Ethan Murray was selected to the 2019 Perfect Game/Rawlings Freshman All-American Second Team, the organization announced Thursday morning.
This is the second All-America honor for the Crozet, Va., native after being selected as a NCBWA Freshman All-American earlier this week. Murray is the 12th Blue Devil in history to garner Freshman All-American honors, joining teammate Joey Loperfido, who collected the honor from Collegiate Baseball following last season in 2018. Murray becomes just the fourth player in Duke history to be named a Freshman All-American by multiple publications, and the first Blue Devil to receive the honor from Perfect Game/Rawlings.
