DURHAM, N.C. – Duke shortstop Ethan Murray was selected to the 2019 D1Baseball Freshman All-American First Team, the organization announced Friday morning.
This is the third All-America honor for the Crozet, Va., native after being selected as both a NCBWA and Perfect Game/Rawlings Freshman All-American earlier this month. Murray is the 12th Blue Devil in history to garner Freshman All-American honors, joining teammate Joey Loperfido, who collected the honor from Collegiate Baseball following last season in 2018. Murray becomes just the second player in Duke history to be named a Freshman All-American by three publications, and the first Blue Devil to receive the honor from D1Baseball.
