DURHAM, N.C. – Duke shortstop Ethan Murray was tabbed to the 2019 Baseball America Freshman All-American Second Team, the organization announced Friday afternoon.
This is the fourth All-America honor for the Crozet, Va., native after being selected as both a NCBWA and Perfect Game/Rawlings Freshman All-American earlier this month, and being named to the D1 Baseball Freshman All-American First Team earlier today. Murray is the 12th Blue Devil in history to garner Freshman All-American honors, joining teammate Joey Loperfido, who collected the honor from Collegiate Baseball following last season in 2018.
