DURHAM – Duke men's lacrosse midfielder Nakeie Montgomery was selected by the Redwoods with the 19th overall pick in the 2022 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft Tuesday evening, broadcast live from the ESPN campus on ESPNU.
Montgomery, taken in the third round, is the sixth Blue Devil to be drafted into the Premier Lacrosse League since the inaugural draft in 2019. He will join former Blue Devil All-American midfielder Myles Jones on the Redwoods.
A 2021 USILA All-America first-team selection, Montgomery was a standout midfielder for the Blue Devils for the past five seasons.
