AUGUSTA, Ga. – Duke redshirt senior punter Will Monday has been named a candidate for the 2015 Ray Guy Award, according to an announcement by the Augusta Sports Council. The Ray Guy Award identifies the nation’s top collegiate punter.
Monday was one of 79 candidates announced Friday, including last year’s Ray Guy Award winner, Tom Hackett, and the two other 2014 finalists, JK Scott and Austin Rehkow. Candidates were nominated for the award by their school’s sports information department.
Monday enters Saturday’s game ranked ninth in the country with a 45.59 punting average.
