Eleven different Blue Devils scored at least one goal and 13 registered a point in Duke's 17-8 victory over High Point Saturday. Four players registered their first career points – Tyler Carpenter, Will Frisoli, Connor Drake, Blake Leischow – as Duke used a strong second half to pull away for the nine-goal win.
Sophomore defenseman Braden Burke and rookie midfielder Connor Drake made their first career starts and a host of other Blue Devils saw their first action of 2020.
Duke Defense Buckles Down
Defensively, Duke allowed a pair of early goals in the opening two minutes before buckling down and keeping then Panthers scoreless for the remainder of the period.
