DURHAM – Duke men's soccer sophomore Shakur Mohammed has signed a Generation adidas contract and will forgo the remainder of his college eligibility to enter the 2023 Major League Soccer SuperDraft, the league has announced ahead of Wednesday's draft.
A native of Kumasi, Ghana, Mohammed concludes his Duke career with 13 total goals and nine assists for a total of 35 points in 37 games. The sophomore started in 35 of his 37 total appearances, including in all 19 of Duke's games during the 2022 season. He tallied three multi-goal games during his time in Durham, including back-to-back braces against Notre Dame and George Washington this year.
