The Duke Baseball season came to an end in a disappointing fashion in Game 3 of the Super Regional, but it was still a wildly successful season and the program still sent one player to Omaha to take part in the Home Run Derby.
Days after hosting the College World Series where the Vanderbilt Commodores, the program that knocked out Duke, defeated the Michigan Wolverines in a three game series, TD Ameritrade Park was the host of the College Home Run Derby to put a bow on a terrific 2019 season.
Catcher Michael Rothenberg led the Blue Devils blasting 11 home runs and also a team-leading knocking in 52 RBI in his sophomore season and the Boca Raton, Florida native was a participant in the College Home Run Derby on Saturday night.
