At this point, anyone who believes a word that comes out of Michael Avenatti’s mouth deserves what they have coming, so keep that in mind: he’s accusing Nike of wanting to pay Zion Williamson $35,000 in high school.
There’s no evidence that the money was offered to Williamson or that he accepted it.
Avenatti, currently on trial for allegedly extorting Nike for $20 million, and, in a separate case charged with wire fraud and bank fraud, and individually accused of embezzling from six different people, most if not all of them clients.
If there is any truth to his latest buckshot allegations, it’ll come out.
