Meyer, Shelton Named AVCA All-East Coast Region

DURHAM, N.C. – Duke redshirt junior middle blocker Leah Meyer and graduate student setter/hitter Andie Shelton earned AVCA All-East Coast Region honors as announced by the organization Tuesday.

A first team All-ACC selection Meyer made her second career all-region team appearance. Through 28 games this season, Meyer ranked third in the ACC and 14th nationally in blocks per set (1.44), the third-highest single-season average in program history. Offensively, Meyer owned a career-best .375 hitting percentage, while totaling 271 kills. The Clarence, N.Y., native posted two double-doubles on the season and also became the 10th Blue Devil to reach 400 career blocks following a nine-block performance in Duke’s win over then-No.
