Mets fail to give Marcus Stroman run support again in loss to Phillies

After losing six straight games at home, the New York Mets were looking to catapult themselves back into the thick of the National League Wild Card race with a sweep of the Philadelphia Phillies on Sunday night.

New York would hand the ball to its trade deadline acquisition, former Duke Baseball legend, Marcus Stroman.

This season with the Toronto Blue Jays and the Mets, Stroman was been the victim of minimal run support and it has affected his win-loss record in a negative way.

Things didn’t change much on Sunday despite a 1st inning home run from Pete Alonso.
