FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- Battered by the wind on a challenging course setup, none of the 30 teams finished in red figures on Friday and Duke sits tied for 27th after the first 18 holes of the 2019 NCAA Men’s Golf Championship at the Blessings Golf Club in Fayetteville, Ark.
Junior Chandler Eaton led the way for Duke in the opening round, carding a four-over 76 on Friday, which included birdies on each of his first two holes – the par-5 10th and par-4 11th. The Alpharetta, Ga., native is tied for 53rd on the individual leaderboard.
