DURHAM, N.C. -- Looking to be the next great Duke hooper from the Windy City, guard DJ Steward will look to pick up where Tre Jones left off.
The 6-foot-3 Steward is a talented ball-handler and an accomplished scorer. The Chicago Sun-Times Player of the Year averaged 22.5 points in his senior season at Whitney Young HS -- the same school that produced Jahlil Okafor. Last summer, Steward averaged 24.1 points and shot 41 percent from three-point range for Team MeanStreets on the Nike EYBL circuit.
