DURHAM – Recent Duke women's golf graduate Emma McMyler and rising junior Andie Smith carded solid finishes this week as they competed in two different events.
McMyler advanced to the finals of the 103rd Women's Texas Amateur at the Spanish Oaks Golf Club in Austin, Texas. A two-time champion in the event in 2022 and 2021, McMyler opened action by carding an even-par, 71, in stroke-play qualifying, which tied for eighth overall.
She earned the No. 8 seed and faced No. 25 seed Federica Tavelli-Westerlund in the round of 32 of match play.
