DURHAM – The 13th-ranked Duke men's soccer program (11-3-1, 5-2-1 ACC) outlasted a rally by Virginia (6-8-3, 2-5-1 ACC), winning an overtime thriller, 3-2, on Friday night in Koskinen Stadium. With the win, the Blue Devils earned ACC Coastal Division Co-Champion honors.
Duke ends the regular season with 16 points, tied with Pittsburgh for the most points in the ACC. As a result, the Blue Devils and Panthers will share the Coastal Division crown. It's the team's first Coastal Division title since the ACC adopted a two-division format in 2014.
"We had to continue to believe in ourselves and fight our way out of it and execute down the stretch," said head coach John Kerr.
