DURHAM, N.C. – Another former Duke women’s soccer great has officially joined the professional ranks, as Kayla McCoy signed her first professional contract on Saturday ahead of the 2019 National Women’s Soccer League Opening Day.
McCoy was selected by the Dash with the 18th overall pick in the 2019 NWSL Draft after an award-filled senior season. The Duke attacker was named All-ACC First Team, a United Soccer Coaches First Team All-American and First Team Scholar All-American, along with a spot on the Google Cloud CoSIDA Academic All-America Third Team.
