DURHAM, N.C. – Senior Kaitlyn McCarthy became the 25th player in Duke women’s tennis history to reach the 100-win plateau Friday evening as the fourth-ranked Blue Devils defeated Syracuse, 6-1, in Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center.
“This is a great accomplishment for Kaitlyn,” head coach Jamie Ashworth. “You have to be consistent and she’s won a lot of matches for us … a lot of big matches. She’s been as solid as I’ve had in my time here. This says a lot about the person and player she is.
