Duke’s Matthew Hurt was clearly not in a rush to make a decision about the NBA. For one, almost no draft lotteries have seen him being selected.
However, he's surely been doing his due diligence and sees an interest from some teams. And he is a 6-9 forward with superb shooting skills, and basketball has put a much higher emphasis on three point shooting in recent years, so he has a good chance of sticking with a team that could use some shooting. Philadelphia had real issues with this after letting former Blue Devil JJ Redick go, for instance, but fellow Devil Seth Curry has really helped out in that regard (it’s interesting that Curry came from the Dallas Mavericks to fill Redick’s role, while Redick now partially fills what Curry brought to the Mavs).
