After winning a national championship a few months ago, Marshall Plumlee jumped right in to the next big challenge that awaited him.
In a cool feature from Dana O’Neil of ESPN.com, the Duke center talked about his summer experience of taking part in the 28-Day Cadet Leadership Course in Fort Knox, Kentucky. If you’re not aware, in January of this year, Plumlee committed to joining the U.S. Army once he’s finished at Duke.
He’s already part of Duke’s ROTC program, but the summer course in Fort Knox was a requirement for his upcoming military service, and gave him a preview of what life will be like in the military while he also learned valuable lessons about leadership.
