COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Former Duke center Marshall Plumlee is one of 16 players announced Monday by USA Basketball as attendees of the training camp that will be used to select the 2017 U.S. Men’s AmeriCup team.
The training camp will be held from Aug. 17-24 at the University of Houston. The 12-member team is expected be announced prior to the team’s departure for Uruguay on Aug. 24. Former NBA head coach and current broadcaster Jeff Van Gundy will serve as U.S. head coach during the 2017 FIBA AmeriCup.
Plumlee played in 21 games for the New York Knicks as a rookie in 2016-17, averaging 1.
