DURHAM, N.C. – Junior swimmer Alyssa Marsh was selected the Duke Student-Athlete of the Week Wednesday following a record-breaking performance over the weekend at the Tennessee Invitational in Knoxville, Tenn.
Individually, Marsh broke school records in the 50-yard freestyle (22.12), 100 freestyle (49.51) and in the 100 backstroke (52.27) while taking home a victory in the 100 backstroke. She also raced to top-three finishes in the 100 freestyle and 100 butterfly and broke a fourth program record as a member of the Blue Devils’ 400 freestyle relay (3:15.32). In addition, Marsh swam on the squad’s top 200 freestyle and 200 and 400 medley relays that took second place.
