COLUMBUS, Ohio - Epeeist Allen Marakov tied for third place as the Duke fencing team concluded the 2024 NCAA Fencing Championship in Columbus, Ohio.
As a team, Duke placed 10th with 73 points to register the first top-10 finish under first-year head coach Omar Elgeziry.
Marakov collected his first All-America accolade during his Duke career with his finish in the epee competition today. His bronze finish was the best of a Duke men's epee player since 2014 when Alessio Santoro finished tied for third. Duke has also had an individual in any weapon in the final four in three of the last four years.
