DURHAM, N.C.—Former Duke University men’s lacrosse standout Michael Manley was named the 2016 Warrior Co-Defensive Player of the Year as voted on by Major League Lacrosse coaches and general managers. He shared with award with Rochester Rattler teammate Joel White.
This marks the second time in three seasons Manley has garnered the award and the fifth time a former Blue Devils has earned a major award from the MLL. It is the first time two players have tied for the award in league history.
Manley and White join John Galloway, who was named the 2016 Brine Goalie of the Year Monday, as anchors to Rochester’s defense.
