DURHAM, N.C. – Duke University sophomore women’s golfer Leona Maguire was selected Thursday to represent Great Britain and Ireland (GB&I) on the 2016 Curtis Cup Team. It will mark the fourth consecutive appearance on the GB&I Curtis Cup squad for the decorated golfer.
The 2016 Curtis Cup will take place June 10-12 at the Dun Laoghaire Golf Club in Ireland, which is only two hours away from Maguire’s home.
Representing the GB&I squad will be Maguire, Maria Dunne, Alice Hewson, Bronte Law, Meghan MacLaren, Olivia Mehaffey, Rochelle Morris and Charlotte Thomas. Elaine Farquharson Black is slated to be the captain for GB&I.
