GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After 36 holes of action Saturday at the Gator Invitational, Duke University junior Leona Maguire holds a one-stroke lead with a two-under-par, 138, at the 6,002-yard, par 70 Mark Bostick Golf Course in Gainesville, Fla.
Maguire, a product of Cavan, Ireland, turned in a one-over-par, 71, in round one Saturday morning and then turned around to collect a two-under-par, 67, in the second round. She leads by one over Florida’s Maria Torres (139) and three strokes over Florida’s Taylor Tomlinson (141). Maguire owns one victory in 2016-17 and five over her career.
