FIFE, Scotland – With rounds of 70 and 75 over the final two days of play at the 2017 Ricoh Women’s British Open, Duke University senior Leona Maguire placed tied 49th with a three-under-par, 285, at Kingsbarns Golf Links in Fife, Scotland.
A product of Cavan, Ireland, Maguire registered the second-best amateur finish of the event behind Sophie Lamb, who carded a six-under, 282, which was tied 30th. Maguire posted rounds of 69, 71, 70 and 75 over the four days.
In-Kyung Kim won her first major championship with an 18-under-par, 270, to win by two strokes over Jodi Ewart Shadoff (272).
