MARRAKESH, MOROCCO — After playing 90 holes of Ladies European Tour final stage qualifying, it took an extra hole to determine the five golfers who received their full Ladies European Tour card for the 2019 campaign at the Amelkis Golf Club in Marrakesh, Morocco.
Duke University 2018 graduate Leona Maguire and Sarah Nilsson each finished the five rounds of qualifying at 13-under-par, 347, to tie for fifth and went to a playoff to determine who earned their card. On the first playoff hole, Maguire drained a 15-foot birdie putt to claim Category 5c status, which secures entry into the majority of tournaments next season on the LET circuit.
