Luol Deng is hanging up his sneakers as the former Duke Blue Devil has officially retired from the NBA after 15 seasons.
Deng signed a one-day contract with the Chicago Bulls so he could officially retire as a member of the team that he spent the majority of his career with.
The South Sudan native was drafted out of Duke University in the 2004 NBA Draft by the Phoenix Suns and was sent to Chicago in a draft-day trade.
The 6-foot-9 forward was a Bull until 2014 as he was a two-time All-Star in 2012 and 2013, a First Team All-Rookie Selection, NBA All-Defensive Second Team in 2012, and the winner of the NBA Sportsmanship Award in 2007.
