DURHAM, N.C. - Duke redshirt senior wide receiver Johnathan Lloyd was named the Freddie Solomon Community Spirit Award winner, according to an announcement Friday by Premier Players.
The award, presented by the Solomon Family through the Premier Players Sports Foundation, annually honors a collegiate football player who has impacted the lives of others through community service and giving, continuing Freddie Solomon’s efforts to make the world a better place.
Lloyd is the first Blue Devil to receive the award. Earlier this week, the Graham, N.C., native was named one of 20 semifinalists for the Jason Witten Man of the Year recognition.
