CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Duke track & field team kicked off the first day of the ACC Outdoor Championships Thursday at Lannigan Field on the campus of the University of Virginia.
Junior Kiegan Lenihan was the first Blue Devil to garner a medal in Charlottesville as he placed second in javelin. Lenihan registered a toss of 232-10 (70.97m) on his second toss, which ranks third on Duke’s all-time list. Prior to his finishing mark, Lenihan opened the competition with a personal-best throw before extending that in the second frame. With his performance, Lenihan collected the lone eight points so far for the Blue Devil men.
