We were really sorry to hear that ACC legend Len Chappell passed away Thursday.
He was 77 and his health had been failing recently after a stroke and a fall.
Chappell led Wake Forest to its only Final Four appearance, something that Tim Duncan, Chris Paul, Muggsy Bogues and Josh Howard never got close to.
His friends and teammates say wonderful things about him here and without question, he was one of the foundational members of the ACC, one of the early and all-time greats.
He played for some time in the NBA but really played before the video revolution came, much less the Internet.
