DURHAM, N.C. – Senior Kaitlyn McCarthy and sophomore Ema Lazic are set to kick off the 2018 Duke women’s tennis fall slate this weekend, traveling to Greenville, S.C., for the Debbie Southern Furman Fall Classic. The three-day tournament runs from Friday to Sunday on Furman’s campus and includes student-athletes from 12 teams, with six of those ranked in the top 25 of the final 2018 Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s (ITA) national rankings.
“This is a tournament we’ve never really played in before but there’s a lot of good competition for Kaitlyn and Ema,” head coach Jamie Ashworth said.
