DURHAM, N.C.— Over the last number of days since Kara Lawson took over the head coaching position with the Duke women's basketball program, she has been making the rounds on the media circuit.
Lawson's arrival to Durham has made multiple headlines and has received an enormous amount of support. The former WNBA All-Star has a diverse amount of experience coaching since retiring from the league in 2016. Since then, Lawson has coached for USA Basketball and was most recently an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics.
To kick off the media blitz, Lawson's first appearance as the leader of the Duke program was introduced by Director of Athletics Kevin White and Senior Deputy Director of Athletics/Administration, Legal Affairs and Chief of Staff Nina King.
